This lovely neo-Tudor brick doorway enters the oldest part of Homerton College, built from 1876-89 by the architects Giles & Gough. Originally the site of Cavendish College, that one closed its doors due to financial pressure, and Homerton was established from London in 1894. In 1976 it became the home for teacher training at the university.
